Start exactly where you are
You do not need to be flexible to begin.
This course is for beginners and anyone who wants to strengthen the foundations of their practice. There is no pressure to perform, compare or already know what to do.
Over eight weeks, you will gradually explore the essentials of Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga through mindful movement, breathing and relaxation. Each class builds naturally on the last, giving you time to feel at home on the mat.

Practise with the same group each week.
A consistent group creates a supportive atmosphere where everyone can progress together. You will have space to ask questions, receive guidance and develop at your own pace.
Life does not always go to plan. You may cancel one course class and receive a drop-in credit for any regular class at the studio.

Before your first class
Do I need to be flexible?
Not at all. Flexibility is something you may develop through practice—not something you need before you begin.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. Alvanda provides organic yoga mats and all the props you will need.
What if I miss a class?
You may cancel one class during the course. You will then receive a drop-in credit that can be used for any regular class at the studio.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before class so you have time to settle in. The studio doors are locked when class begins, so late entry is not possible.
Is the course taught in English?
Yes. The course is taught in English, and everyone is welcome.
